Bernadette Peters
Bernadette Peters, also known as Lazzara was born on 28 February, 1948. She is an American performer, actress, and author of children's books. She has appeared on films, television as well as musical theatre and solo performances, as well as on recorded recordings. Her career spans more than six decades. She is an acclaimed Broadway performer. She has won seven Tony Awards nominations (plus an honorary award), as well as nine Drama Desk Award nominations. Four of her Broadway productions in which she's starred have won Grammy Awards.
Peters is widely considered to be the most prominent interpreter of the works by Stephen Sondheim. Her roles on Broadway include Mack and Mabel (1974), Sunday in the Park with George (84), Song and Dance (1985), Into the Woods with George (87) and The Goodbye Girl(93), Annie Get Your Gun 1999), Gypsy (2003), A Little Night Music (2009), Follies (2011) and Hello, Dolly (2018).
